Mayor of Castlebar and Fine Gael town councillor Ger Deere has congratulated the Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny, for an outstanding 35 years representing the people of Mayo. Mr Kenny was elected to Dáil Éireann on 12 November 1975 when the first ever Mayo West by-election was held. Fine Gael party colleagues in Castlebar Town Council, Cllr Brendan Henaghan, Cllr Eugene McCormack, and Cllr Noreen Heston, also extended congratulations to Deputy Kenny.
